Out in the boondocks but worth the drive. Friendly staff great food reasonably priced. Always a good time every time we go.

The best whole catfish I have had in a long time. We traveled from south Louisiana to come check out Lake Seminole. Saw Jim's on a TV show. So glad we came to eat the catfish and shrimp. Since they are famous I think the catfish should be as well.

Amazing find, I was unaware of this kept gem. Great food, fresh tea, friendly atmosphere, service with a smile, all for a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

If home were a bar this would be the one. The girls are quite hospitable, their service is good, drinks are stout, and the food is amazing. We ate and hung out here frequently while staying at the nearby RV park while doing storm work. They always made us feel welcome. I wish this place wasn't 16 hours from my real home. One day I'll make it a point to visit again.

You can drive your boat right up to the restaurant. ALL their seafood is great. Service was good. Not a hoity-toity place. Just a hole in the wall restaurant, but it is a GREAT place to eat and relax.

A large screened in building tucked under many shade trees right by the lake, so a lot of folks arrive via boat. You have the breeze off the lake along with the many mounted fans, so it's a comfortable southern setting. We were with friends so it was a fun night. Our servers were super attentive. Our drinks were kept full. The food is made to order so be prepared to wait as this is not fast-food. I recommend and Will be back.

A nice dining experience on the water. Portions are generous on the food. We had a party of 4 with a baby and Ronnie was our server - super sweet and helpful. The drinks were a bit tame and felt a little watered down, so steer clear of those and focus on the Tater Kegs, corn nuggets and catfish instead.Restrooms are outdoors in a shed and not the nicest, so plan ahead for that as we did. The seafood platter was what we all shared and had plenty of food for the four us, so if you're in the mood to share and try a little bit of everything, that's a good choice for you.

Last night was the last time we eat there. We've been going there regularly for 3yrs and the food has taken a down hill spiral! Everything over cooked- baked potatoes brown on inside, grilled shrimp was cooked so much they were more like shrimp jerky, fried catfish were fried so hard you couldn't hardly stick your fork into them. Baked potatoes were replaced with cheese grits that were so salty even my husband couldn't eat them and he likes salt. Servers were very good , manager on duty Wendy discounted our ticket trying to make things right. Cooks will make or break a place and those cooks aren't good.

Awesome ambiance on the lake after a sunny day on the water! The burgers are great and the seafood is even better!

I love Big Jim's. Nothing fancy but awesome scenery as it is on a camp site and by a lake. You'll probably see some alligators. Food and service is awesome.

This place has pretty good food. It was better before the hurricane. Their oysters here are good though.

These people go above and beyond! My husband is a Lineman that has been working storm for Hurricane Michael for the last month, at Lake Seminole. Big Jim's has fed them breakfast, lunch, and supper... EVERY. SINGLE. DAY! You will never know how much your kindness is appreciated! Thank you Big Jim's❤❤❤

If you like fried food this is your place

Eat before you go here. By the time you get your order, you'll be hungry again. An hour and a half after ordering, we gave up and left. They blamed it on "a computer problem". My suggestion... use a pen and pad.

This place is a joke!!!! What seafood restaurant could allow themselves to run out of cheese grits. 7 sevens to boil water and boom you have grits add cheese and WOW!!!! The first and last time I will ever eat here. Save your money

I squirted a fly out of my ketchup bottle. My burger was raw. And couldn't get anything to drink after the first glass. The worse experience I've ever had at a restaurant.

I was out of town so my husband took my mother here for Mothers day. My husband said everyone was so friendly and catered to her for mothers day. They both said the food was amazing!! Thank you Big Jim's for making my mother feel special.

Good atmosphere and food. Fried corn nugget appetizer is good. Buffalo shrimp are sweet and spicy!

In a pinch it will work but don't go there looking for home cooked food. Staff is super friendly and it's clean & you get a lot of food. I'll bet it would be a great party place😉

Everyone loves this local lake bar restaurant. Great food and service. We all enjoy the karaoke, too. Some pretty good regular singers. The screened-in, shelter atmosphere with ceiling fans feels like a casual, laid-back evening with friends and attentive staff. Something for adults and kids alike on Lake Seminole. Just go early as it is usually packed!

Good food, a little greasy but it's what you'd expect from a fish house. Outdoor atmosphere so it can be a little uncomfortable certain times of the year but not too bad. Over all, a good place to eat.

The seafood was delightfully fresh, the drinks were refreshingly cold, and the service was surprisingly terrific! It was definitely worth the drive! It is on my list of return trips!!

We went in late to meet a couple of my husband friend and family. We sat and the server was very kind. She came on over asked if we was eating which we had already ate. We ordered something to drink and some cheese sticks which was great. Our friends food came out and it all looked really good and I do want to go back just so I can get what my husband friend got.

This was my second time at this restaurant and it was an awful experience. 3 people in our party, ordered all fried/grilled shrimp baskets. Took forever for any food to arrive, once it did, it was all wrong and missing an entire dinner. Informed our waitress, said she was going to check, never returned with any update or food. Had to flag down for additional drinks. Still waiting for the missing meal- 30 mins later. Nothing. The restaurant was half empty. We informed our server that we still had not gotten the missing food, she said sorry and that she didn’t know what was going on??? We asked for our check and just to take off the dinner. She came back and just said sorry- never asked if we wanted something else- let us leave hungry. Ridiculous! Will not be back!
